Description

Delicious grilled chicken skewers marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, served with a refreshing cilantro lime dip.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 680 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 80 ml honey
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 120 g sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Zest & juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade – In a bowl, whisk together honey, jalapeños, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Chicken – Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).
  3. Make the Dip – Mix sour cream, lime zest, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, and salt until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  4. Assemble Skewers – Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
  5. Cook – Grill over medium-high heat or cook on a grill pan for 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  6. Serve – Serve hot with the cilantro lime dip on the side.

Notes

  • For an extra spicy kick, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • Chicken can be marinated overnight for maximum flavor.
