Description
Delicious and fluffy pancakes perfect for breakfast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (Substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (Consider brown sugar for a richer flavor.)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (Acts as a leavening agent.)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (Enhances flavors and balances sweetness.)
- 1 cup milk (Almond milk works well for dairy-free.)
- 1 large egg (Binds ingredients together.)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (Coconut oil can be used for dairy-free.)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Optional but highly recommended.)
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (Adjust according to your preference.)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Slowly add this wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Heat your non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour in 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- While warm, generously sprinkle your pancakes with the cinnamon sugar.
Notes
- For a dairy-free option, use almond milk and coconut oil.
- Experiment with different toppings such as fresh fruits or chocolate chips.
