- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Chicken – Start by patting your chicken thighs or breasts dry. This helps them get a beautiful sear. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mix all over the chicken, making sure it’s evenly coated.
- Sear to Golden Perfection – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until deeply golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce – Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Stir constantly so the garlic doesn’t burn—it should smell rich and mellow.
- Return and Coat – Place the chicken back into the skillet and spoon the garlic butter over each piece. Let it simmer together for another 2–3 minutes so the flavors can meld.
- Serve and Savor – Garnish with chopped parsley if you like, and serve hot with your favorite sides—mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or even buttery noodles all work beautifully.
