Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry sheets. Roll them out gently to smooth any creases if needed.
- Cut the Pastry: Cut each sheet into even squares, about 4×4 inches, to create a total of 8 squares per sheet.
- Fill the Pastry: Place a generous spoonful of berry preserves in the center of each square. Be careful not to overfill to prevent leaking during baking.
- Fold and Seal: Fold each square into a triangle by bringing opposite corners together and pressing the edges to seal. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
- Egg Wash: Lightly brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg. This will give them a golden, glossy finish.
- Bake: Arrange the pastries on the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between them. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
