Description
A delicious coffee drink made with maple brown butter and frothed milk.
Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1 shot espresso or 1/4 cup strong coffee
- 3/4 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 pinch salt (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it foams and turns golden brown, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the maple syrup until fully combined with the brown butter.
- Heat the milk in a separate saucepan until warm but not boiling, then froth until foamy.
- Brew the espresso or strong coffee and pour into your favorite mug.
- Mix the maple brown butter mixture into the espresso.
- Top with the frothed milk and optionally drizzle more maple syrup or sprinkle cinnamon on top.
Notes
- For a non-dairy version, use plant-based milk and ensure your maple syrup is pure.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup according to your taste.
