Description

Delicious and easy Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches made with tender beef and melted provolone cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef roast (chuck or brisket)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet au jus or French onion soup mix
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the sliced onion on top of the beef.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the beef broth with the au jus or soup mix, then pour it over the roast and onions.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  5. Shred the beef inside the crockpot using two forks or tongs.
  6. Fill each hoagie roll with the shredded beef and top with a slice of provolone cheese.
  7. Allow the cheese to melt slightly before serving with the au jus for dipping.
