Instructions
- Prepare the Apples:

- Insert a stick into the top of each apple, ensuring it is secure.
- Make the Candy Coating:

- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Once boiling, reduce to medium heat and allow it to reach 300°F (hard crack stage) without stirring. Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature.
- Color the Candy Mixture:
- Divide the candy mixture into two separate bowls.
- Add red food coloring to one bowl and green to the other, stirring each until fully incorporated.
- Dip the Apples:
- Working quickly, dip each apple into the colored candy mixture, turning to coat evenly.
- Allow excess to drip off, then roll in assorted sprinkles.
- Place on a greased baking sheet to set.
- Cooling:
- Let the apples cool completely at room temperature until the candy shell hardens, about 15 minutes.
