This delicious cinnamon swirl bread is perfect for breakfast or as a snack!

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the swirl and topping. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix in the sour cream until smooth and fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar on top. Repeat with remaining batter and topping. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Tent with foil halfway through if browning too quickly.
- Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure to let the bread cool completely before slicing to avoid crumbling.
