Description

Roasted cauliflower seasoned with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and nutritional yeast for a flavorful side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets (about 4 cups or 400g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1g)
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast (30g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15ml)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (15g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash, dry, and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets of similar size.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the florets with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the florets in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do not overcrowd.
  5. Roast for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and the edges are golden-brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with nutritional yeast and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss to coat while hot.
  7. Scatter fresh parsley over the top and serve warm.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure to cut the cauliflower into evenly sized pieces for even cooking.
  • You can adjust the seasoning to taste, adding more spices if desired.
